If you've been thinking of adopting, be sure to register for one of the city council's monthly evening information sessions at the Portsmouth Adoption Centre, Hester Road, PO4 8HB.
We recruit adopters across Hampshire (anywhere within 50 miles of Portsmouth and potentially further afield), in and around areas including Aldershot, Andover, Basingstoke, Bournemouth, Brighton, Chichester, Crawley, Fareham, Guildford, Havant, Horsham, Isle of Wight, Newbury, Petersfield, Poole, Portsmouth, Reading, Romsey, Salisbury, Southampton, Waterlooville, Winchester, Woking, Worthing and more!
We run friendly, informal evening sessions usually on the first Tuesday of each month between 6.30pm-8.30pm, with the dates for the 2019 tbc.
We also run information sessions in the day if this suits you best, between 12 - 2pm, dates for 2019 are tbc.
You can find out all the information you need about adoption on any of the evening/day information sessions above, and have all your questions answered by friendly, professional staff.
Before coming along to one of the information sessions above, whether evening or during the day, you need to need to register by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org; or telephoning 023 9287 5294. Once you have registered your interest, we will just need a brief, informal chat over the phone (around 15 minutes) with you, before you come along. We look forward to hearing from you.
We have an upcoming recruitment event at the Holiday Inn Express in Farlington, where you can chat to the team and adoptive families to find out all about what it's like to adopt, on:
• Saturday, 26th January, 10am - 1.00pm, Holiday Inn Express Hotel, Farlington, Eastern Road, PO6 1UN (no need to book, simply drop by). The fostering team will also be there to chat to anyone there interested in becoming a foster carer.
